Sasktel is converting their OSP
records system from a Micro Station platform to
Ericsson’s Network Engineering data based software. My task is advising
the conversion contractor how the current system will fit the Network
Engineering platform. Questions are received from the conversion
contractor (Info Tech India) through a dashboard system which allows my input
for capturing various features that do not fit the conversion
specifications. I am also training new Ericsson Consultants in the use
of Sasktel internal software and Network Engineering software used in the
deployment of UMTS/LTE 4G Cellular Site construction.

Established the criteria for
engineering designs to comply with corporate standards and defined specific
details for permitting by various government agencies. Created liaisons with
fifteen city, county & state agencies to provide standard processes for
timely reviews and construction permit approvals. Established a project
tracking system adopted by Verizon Project Management for strategic planning
of fiber facilities deployment. As Single Point of Contact
developed liaisons, scheduled conferences and gave presentations with Home
Owners Associations (HOA) to promote construction of Fiber to the Premise program.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
· Tasked
to provide and apply professional standards for deployment of a 70,000 mile
high speed fiber optic broadband system to 2.3 million customers with an
initial budget of $3 billion.
· Re-established
relationships with City Agencies, provided proof of concept to improve the
environment between Verizon and the agencies, this resulted in a notice to
proceed by the cities, counties and state.
· Established
minimum requirements for engineering plan submissions by other vendors.
· Created
permit plan submission requirements for engineering vendors in consultation
with various government agencies. Inspected the plans submitted, and
accepted or returned them for updating to standards.
· Successfully
managed schedules, cost, and service level agreements.

As SPOC held scheduled community meetings to establish relations
with Home Owners Associations. Provided presentations resulting in all
52 associations approving construction of the fiber optic system.

Performed supervisory duties
required to maintain the integrity of the feeder (F1) and distribution (F2)
networks for three City of Huntington Beach wire centers with a customer base
of 190,000 and a yearly budget of 5.2 million dollars.

management of Comcast’s Fiber-to-the-Node (FTTN) project in Marin, San
Francisco, Sonoma, and Santa Clara regions serving 2.3 million customers with
a project cost of $2 Billion. Opened
the Mastec engineering office in Alameda, California and designed procedures
for processing electronic data to meet the requirements set forth by Comcast
for delivery, and provide quality assurance of all required data. I was also
tasked to provide supervision of outside contract personnel and develop
procedures for delivery of field data and documentation
to Comcast’s field office

Scheduled meetings with service providers involved in Joint Use
activities to include AT&T, Verizon and PG&E to establish procedures
for obtaining mapping data required for processing Joint Use Licensing.

Trained outside contract personnel in the required procedures
for obtaining and processing field data to include NFPA, and OSHA regulations

Created forms and documentation for contract firm’s submission
of field data, and provided Quality Assurance analysis before submission to

million. Planned, designed and implemented fiber and copper projects in
cooperation with facilities, Installation, maintenance, construction and
marketing departments.

were completed out of my home office utilizing my personal Auto Cad
system. I held meetings with Engineering Managers from each district to
determine work load and scheduling.
